झारखंड: भूमि और संस्कृति का संगम

ऐतिहासिक पृष्ठभूमि

झारखंड नाम संस्कृत शब्द ‘झार’ (वन) और ‘खण्ड’ (भूमि) से लिया गया है, जिसका अर्थ है ‘वन की भूमि’। महाभारत में इसे कर्कखंड के नाम से भी जाना जाता था। मध्यकाल में यह क्षेत्र ‘झारखंड’ के नाम से प्रसिद्ध हुआ।

राज्य का ऐतिहासिक महत्व कई साम्राज्यों के शासन के कारण है, जैसे कि नंद, मौर्य, गुप्त और मुघल साम्राज्य। ब्रिटिश औपनिवेशिक शासन और भारतीय स्वतंत्रता संग्राम के दौरान यहाँ पर कई जन आंदोलन भी हुए। अंततः 15 नवंबर, 2000 को झारखंड एक स्वतंत्र राज्य के रूप में अस्तित्व में आया।

भूगोल, जलवायु और जैव विविधता

झारखंड का अधिकांश हिस्सा छोटानागपुर पठार पर स्थित है, और यहाँ की प्रमुख नदियाँ जैसे damodar, कोइल, और सुबर्नरेखा नदी राज्य के लैंडस्केप को आकार देती हैं। झारखंड में विविध जलवायु है, जिसमें उष्णकटिबंधीय और उपोष्णकटिबंधीय जलवायु का मिश्रण है। यहाँ पर हरितिमा से भरपूर जंगल, झरने और पहाड़ों की एक अनूठी सुंदरता देखने को मिलती है।

विविध जनसंख्या

झारखंड की जनसंख्या 32.96 मिलियन है, जिसमें महिला-पुरुष अनुपात 947 महिलाओं प्रति 1000 पुरुष है। यहाँ की साक्षरता दर 67.63% है। राज्य में अनुसूचित जाति और अनुसूचित जनजाति का काफी प्रतिशत है, विशेष रूप से दक्षिण-पश्चिम जिलों जैसे सिमडेगा, खूंटी और गुमला में।

राज्य की भाषाई विविधता भी देखने को मिलती है। हिंदी यहाँ की राजभाषा है, जबकि नागपुरी, खोरठा और कुर्माली जैसी क्षेत्रीय भाषाएँ भी प्रचलित हैं। झारखंड में हिंदू धर्म का दबदबा है, इसके बाद इस्लाम, ईसाई धर्म और आदिवासी धर्म जैसे सरनाईसम का पालन करने वाले लोग भी यहाँ रहते हैं।

झारखंड की समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक धरोहर

झारखंड की सांस्कृतिक विविधता को उसके भोजन, लोक संगीत, नृत्य और कला रूपों में देखा जा सकता है। यहाँ की मुख्य खाद्य सामग्री चावल, दाल और सब्जियाँ हैं। पारंपरिक व्यंजनों में चिलका रोटी, मालपुआ और बांस की शूट्स से बने पकवान शामिल हैं।

झारखंड के लोक नृत्य जैसे झूमर, छऊ और संताल नृत्य विशेष रूप से प्रसिद्ध हैं। यहाँ की चित्रकला में सोहराई और खोवार चित्रण जैसे अद्भुत उदाहरण मिलते हैं, जो ग्रामीण जीवन और रीति-रिवाजों को दर्शाते हैं।

अर्थव्यवस्था

झारखंड का सकल घरेलू उत्पाद 2020-21 में ₹3.83 लाख करोड़ (US$48 बिलियन) था। राज्य में लौह अयस्क, कोयला, तांबा, मिका और बॉक्साइट जैसे खनिजों की प्रचुरता है, जो इसे स्टील और खनन उद्योगों के लिए एक महत्वपूर्ण केंद्र बनाती है।

राज्य में कृषि भी महत्वपूर्ण है, जिसमें चावल, गेहूं, मक्का और सब्जियाँ उगाई जाती हैं। झारखंड सिल्क उद्योग और हस्तशिल्प के क्षेत्र में भी विकास कर रहा है, जो स्थानीय रोजगार और आर्थिक विकास में योगदान दे रहा है।

पर्यटन स्थलों की खोज

झारखंड में पर्यटकों के लिए कई आकर्षक स्थल हैं। यहां के धार्मिक स्थल जैसे पारसनाथ और बैद्यनाथ धाम विशेष रूप से तीर्थयात्रियों के लिए महत्वपूर्ण हैं। इसके अलावा, जोंहा और hundru झरने, नेतारहाट, और बेटला नेशनल पार्क भी प्रकृति प्रेमियों के लिए आदर्श स्थल हैं।
